1998
Within the framework of my Art Movement program for the
art world, I declared 1998 - the third year in a ten year program – as:
The year of drawing with the left hand
As you may already be aware, 1996 for the world of art was declared the Year of One-legged Horses, thus launching the ten year program. It was envisaged that the first year would be an introduction to myself, and would serve to seek the attention of people passively or actively involved in the art world.
The second year was named The Death of Venus. In the corresponding essay, I evaluated the modernist movement of the 20th century, with emphasis on the effects of history, technical revolution and feminism upon art, and the change of aesthetic standards never encountered before. More precisely, the the Death of Venus announced the decline of aesthetic values.
My Art Movement - as always - is open to a variety of initiatives from anyone wishing to participate. I would like to raise the following questions:
• The first lightning-war in art: the “-isms”;
• Modernism - as the Communism of the developed industrial world;
• Anarchism – Communism - Modernism as identical “-isms”.
I would be glad to hear your comments on these ideas, your notes, essays (which I request to be short for the moment) in English or German.
I am currently seeking a publisher which would co-operate with me in publishing a brochure or small book of my writing about the theories above.
