Modernism and revolution in Art, like all revolutionary movements in the past, are over. We are witnessing a period of calm winds. New ideas are always accumulated at such times, when no single school of art prevails, no particular style dominates and there are no general guidelines to follow.
Art - as ever - is being subjected to both substantial and merely formal changes.
Art will be renewed, however, because all artists (the people) make every effort to achieve this goal. This work, although as valuable as before, is not spectacular. As my contribution to renewal, I will launch an action scheduled for the forthcoming ten years.
The first year (1996) for the world of art will be declared as:
